Alison Page: Creative Shape Shifter Exhibition | 2026

Designer, filmmaker and artist, Alison Page always has ideas on the go. In her first solo exhibition, she dives into the ancient and contemporary stories that drive her design process, contributing a life force that she believes is vital for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people to connect to Country.

Driven by a strong entrepreneurial vision, Alison explores ways in which design can shape social and environmental justice for Aboriginal people, delivered through a diverse design practice encompassing interiors, landscapes, public art, furniture, jewellery, and curating festivals, exhibitions, and films. This exhibition, held in the Melbourne Design School Gallery from 16 May – 1 July 2026, traces her twenty-five-year design practice, which shifts from an initial focus on what is Aboriginal design to an exploration of how Blak design can inform everyday Australian life.
